Since we are now on to a new month, maybe some folks did not see a comment from a friend on my last entry that included a link to an article that deconstructed a recent Peggy Noonan column. The article made many fair points, and was very critical of Noonan, but I think that big picture, there is a patriotism issue that Obama probably needs to address better. Just to be clear, I absolutely do not think that Obama is "not patriotic enough," but I do think that the fact that there are a lot of folks out there who believe that Obama lacks patriotism could be problematic in an election. But there I go, backsliding again, getting away from what should be the central issues of the campaign. I will now have some mercy and not mention the campaign again for the rest of this entry.
