This morning, the television news reported that a teenage hiker has become lost in the Topanga State Park sometime between when I was there and last night. There is currently a large effort to find him. And I certainly pray they do. I pray for the hiker, the park rangers and all the others that are searching. And I hope my six dollars came in handy. I’m even more thankful I paid it. And I wonder if those who sidestepped their contribution are thinking about that as they watch the news.
