ahream Dispatches from the City of Angels I'm a mystery writer living in and writing about Los Angeles. You can catch my short story, "Running Venice," in the new anthology LAndmarked for Murder. Look for it in bookstores and on Amazon.com now. In the meantime, feel free to poke around. Over at my website you can find even more blog entries than I could fit here, as well as a few other ramblings. Enjoy and come back often. |

In case you were wondering, it is very difficult to get a hummingbird out of your house. They are irrational and prone to hysterics. L.A. Finds: The Nickel Diner on Main between 5th and 6th is a made-to-look-old, throwback of a place that melds into the old downtown and is, at the same time, part of the renaissance. They serve their burgers medium, their soda in bottles and offer all they can to locals in need. Flickr Updates: The second Thursday of every month is the Downtown Art Walk. The galleries stay open late, the restaurants are packed, bands perform on the streets. God, I love L.A. 2005-11-22 8:55 AM Like trying to wrestle an octopus So it turns out what’s good for the goose, isn’t necessarily good for Internet Explorer. Visitors to my new website using Firefox yesterday, should have found things working well. But guests using Explorer or the Apple browser probably saw a big white empty box in the middle of the art work.
Not cool. So after some checking and some fixing and not a small amount of cussing, we believe that our Explorer friends should now be able to view the website as the universe intended. What you should see on the main page is my signature and five links in the sky above a fabulous painting of downtown Los Angeles (done by my equally fabulous husband). Clicking on one of those five links should then - and only then - bring up a white box filled with the corresponding content. Clicking on my signature should then make the box disappear. At no time should there be a white box with nothing in it. If you find the website still not working properly for you, please drop us a note through the webmaster e-mail listed on the website. Include a description of the problem along with the version and type of browser you’re using. We hope, of course, to beat the website into submission for as many visitors as possible. And failing a programming solution, I’m researching flame throwers and chain saws. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
