ahream Dispatches from the City of Angels I'm a mystery writer living in and writing about Los Angeles. You can catch my short story, "Running Venice," in the new anthology LAndmarked for Murder. Look for it in bookstores and on Amazon.com now. In the meantime, feel free to poke around. Over at my website you can find even more blog entries than I could fit here, as well as a few other ramblings. Enjoy and come back often. |

2006-09-13 5:43 PM The tide turns! Our hero is saved! The e-mail fairies have just informed me that a shipment of books left today to arrive in my editors hands by Friday. My signing at the West Hollywood Book Fair is saved!
Wouldn’t be a book of suspense without a close call now would it? So come on down! We’ll have a rockin’ good time. Here are the details: WEST HOLLYWOOD BOOK FAIR West Hollywood Park 647 N. San Vicente Blvd. Sunday, September 17th Parking is FREE at the Pacific Design Center The fair is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. And I’ll be signing copies of “LAndmarked for Murder” at the Sisters in Crime tent from noon until 1 p.m. near the Mystery and Suspense Pavilion. Each story in this new anthology centers around a famous L.A. landmark, taking you on a dastardly tour of the city’s hidden truths and desires. My contribution, “Running Venice,” introduces you to Samantha Martinez, newspaper reporter, whose work is about to catch up with her. A routine drive out to an interview ends in a race for her life through, over and into the 100-year-old canals that snake through the city. If only she knew who was chasing her and why... Check out a full fair schedule at www.westhollywoodbookfair.org Special guests will include Jackie Collins, Tommy Chong (of Cheech and...), Denise Hamilton and many more. See you there!
