Mood:
sad

this year has not been easy at all. and now that i'm standing at the end, i'm filled with a weird sense of saddness that its all ending.
are all endings sad? or is it just me.

things that i will remember about 2006:
1) the fact that i was sixteen. they dun call it sweet 16 for nothing. it was nice being 16. and i will never be 16 ever again. which makes this year all the more precious and sweet to me.

2) hurdling. yep. that one i will never forget. when i'm 60, all my grandkids can hear their boring old toothless grandma tell them that when she was 16, she represented stnicks for hurdles. the pain, the training, the team, the sweat blood tears, the actual race... its all gonna stay with me for a long long time.

3) o levels. ha. for a nerd like me, let's just say the o levels was everything at one point of time. the fact that i pulled through all the mugging, cramming, crying, stress, staying up late on coffee, 3 tests a day periods, shitty prelims, practicals... urg. how do u put something like that behind you?... when the going gets tough... i will remember i sruvived shit before. and i came out smiling.

4) grad night. nuff said. i shall not repeat the whole embarrassing encounter.

5) class stuff. much as i hate to say it, i think my class pretty much rocks. despite everything... i will look back fondly on many things that happened to me this year. working on jlc essays, national day, racial harmony, teachers' day, working on the debate topics, speaking on the debate topics... so much.

6) Chiang rai trip! this year is one year i think i enjoyed the trip the most.

and now i know why i'm making this list. although i always say i want my next year to be better, the past one is actually pretty darn good. and i'm frantically piecing it all together in one blog entry because i am afraid; i'm scared i'll forget it all. and the sad truth is, i don't want to. i want to hang on to all these things.

but i guess the past is what it is.
its past. over.
i have to get over myself, and get ready for the future.
