Those items were on the dinner menu.

1) Fukuoka, Pusan, Shanghai: ranked in descending order for cleanliness and safety.

2) The traffic lights are meaningless here: the traffic ignores them, the human traffic ignores them. Today was a day of 5-way crossing, criss-crossing and near-collisions... I know Japan is so much more expensive but I would so much rather be there for the mundane reasons that I don't have to worry about being run over or robbed.

3) I don't look Chinese. The shop keepers sometimes have conversations about me in Chinese, in which sometimes, there's a mocking comment or two.... So, I conclude they must think I don't understand/ speak Chinese.

And they adamantly refuse to believe I can understand Chinese even when I speak it.

4) Tomorrow is EXPO day. Must sleep soon and prepare for a day of queueing and elbowing and jostling...
