To participate in the Spirits of Competition event, simply enter any battleground and do your best to help your team win. All participants will earn a special tabard honoring their competitive spirit. The Competitor's Tabard is a rare (blue) tabard and can be seen on the commoners proclaiming the event. For each victory, you'll also have the chance of winning a gold medal as well. You'll receive these rewards in the mail. Continue winning battlegrounds for the duration of the event to increase your chances for the gold medal. In April of 2002 a small update in the "Strike Team" update basically stating housing is under development still. The same goes for May of 2002, another small update stating they are still working on housing. Starting in May of 2002, the focus now switches to Spellcrafting in a update by Sanya, basically saying Spellcrafting is an higher priority at the time, and there was no "ETA" on Housing. Definitely. Halo is probably in my top 5 for best video games in history. I think that's what made this project even more exciting. Most of our team is comprised of college students born and raised in America. Halo was THE game we all played throughout high school, just like Super Mario Bros. was the game we all played as kids. I don't think any of us are gamers anymore, but we used to play tons of games like Counterstrike, Splinter Cell, Zelda, Smash Bros., FIFA, NBA/NFL Live, Starcraft, WoW, GTA, Diablo ... the list goes on ... shout out to Street Fighter from SNES ... etc .. Most of us remain kids at heart, so I don't know if video games will ever get old. So can a world have a true living story? Yes, but first and foremost it must be a world that is changeable. Players need to be able to see and feel that change. Additionally, to be truly successful on this point, players need to be able to cause change themselves in a visible permanent or semi-permanent way. Asheron's Call met the first, but not the second criteria.
