Plain Banter
. . . lies about science fiction, and everything else.

When the writer becomes the center of his attention, he becomes a nudnik. And a nudnik who believes he's profound is even worse than just a plain nudnik. -- Isaac Bashevis Singer

And then there were two

It was just reported in sff.net's obituary topic that dgk goldberg has passed away. Cancer.

I met dgk goldberg (that's how she wrote it; no caps, no periods) once at the local (Charlotte NC) SF con a couple of years ago. She was one of the very few pro genre writers here in the Charlotte area. There are only three of us listed in the current SFWA directory. The third guy invited me into his writing group a few months back and I've been going to their meetings for a while. He also emailed an invite to dgk at that time, but never heard back from her. Now we know why.

Rest in peace, dgk.
