*A trip to Half-Price books united me with the loveliest novel by Leonard Cohen. I'm such a fan of his songs and read some of his poetry, and this book does not dissappoint. His writing has a songlike "stream of conscious" feel to it, that I gravitate towards, but don't fully understand. I think it's ok not to fully understand something, yet be in love with it at the same time. Such is life, no?

*Puppies and babies keep crossing my path. I'm looking for signs, but too realistic to believe anything other than the natural order of things.

*Ikea storage boxes that come in 80 different pieces are like a logic puzzle used for MENSA applications. The directions are depicted in vague pictures that Picasso could have drawn after reading some Leonard Cohen. I applaud obscurity in literature and art, but not installation instructions.

*I've pinpointed the day that the butterflys began.
