Yesterday, I got up-close-and-personal with a Tiger Armed Reconnaissance Helicopter.

It was an impressive arrival at the Army / Defence HQ in Canberra.

I suspect that the aircraft and crew are enroute for a show display at the Australian International Airshow 2005 at Avalon 15-20 March 2005.

After seeing the aircraft's snappy arrival, I caught the briefing by the 1st Aviation Regiment.

It certainly proved to be well attended by passers-by, too. There were more than a few fortunate folk from the Ulysses Motorcycle Club national Annual General Meeting (Canberra branch page), being held in town at the moment, who parked and came over for a closer look. They're a fearsome lot, those over-40 for-fun motorcyclists!
