This was a poor excuse for a photograph, until you realise that it was unlikely to occur without: (1) motivation, and (2) effort.

So, why should you be interested? Well, if you were at all curious, you get to see a photograph of me at my Wikipedia user site.

Andrew Alder and I have know each other through the medium of email for quite a few years. He was coming to Canberra for a conference yesterday, and "it seemed like a good idea at the time" so he invited me to make an effort to call by during one of the breaks and meet. A friend of mine who was also at the event took the photo.
