I thought I was "hearing things" when this was aired here in Australia today.

I could not believe that John McCain's elibility for election would be in question, what with all the discussion about Arnie.

Yet, Wikipedia has the debate.

On the face of it, it seems that the strict "black letter law" says that McCain should not be able to take office. Now, notice that is quite different from "being elected", so I predict that we will see some court action if McCain wins the election.

This could be the "hanging chad incident" of the 2008 election.

Question: Who is McCain's running mate ? (Remember that question!)
