A "G-Rated Journal" That Even My Mother Can Read (because she does!)

Effervescence is a state of mind. It's about choosing to bring sunshine to the day.
Every person I meet matters.

Coffee is always better with friends

Did you email me? No, you didn't. You know you want to. Please! Assume nothing, let me know how I can send you a hand-written note for the holidays! Thanks!

Tue Dec 6 - Rehearsal went well for band, and in fact ended early for a change. So I sent a couple text messages to friends, to see who might be up for coffee, and heard back from Lilya. This was nice, since it had been weeks and weeks since we'd all just hung out. I grabbed a latté and dropped by their apartment, where everyone was watching Law and Order. [A *really* interesting episode, so I was entranced too.] Then we just chattered for another half-an-hour or so, just enjoying one another's company. It was lovely. And they might be able to come see my show on Saturday, which is a bonus.

Wed Dec 7 - Today's work schedule was supposed to include meeting after meeting (blech), but my boss postponed the early morning meeting to tomorrow (yea!) and gave me permission to dial-in over the internet to the mandatory company meeting (yippee!). The afternoon meeting actually interests me, so I don't mind going to that one. So today will be all about multi-tasking.

*And* I finally remembered to get out my box of Christmas decorations for work. So sometime today I'll get to decorate my office and add more ornaments to the tree out in the lobby. Supposedly there's a departmental contest for the best trees... I haven't seen anything official about that, but I'm happy to help our department look good!

Then tonight we're launching our first organizational meeting for a dyestuffs guild, so I'll be sitting in quite a bit of rush-hour traffic before enjoying an evening with a bunch of fiber artisans.
