A "G-Rated Journal" That Even My Mother Can Read (because she does!)

Effervescence is a state of mind. It's about choosing to bring sunshine to the day.
Every person I meet matters.

Here we go!

Fri Dec 9 - I mentioned that I needed a shorter cheat sheat for the show on Saturday, and at the end of my work day I finally completed it. I managed to put together just the key one or two words of lines I tend to forget in the lyrics, and included all the keyboard settings needed in order.

After work we had the extremely rare Friday rehearsal (it's usually Tue/Thu/Sat), since the guys from Glass were going to need to rehearse for the show with our equipment. So our bassist spent the day with them in our studio (we are *SO* spoiled, having our own studio space!), and by 8 pm the rest of us needed to be there for our rehearsal. It was really kind of exciting to have other musicians in our studio with us, although I didn't get to hear any of their rehearsal.

They asked if they could stick around for some of our music, and they stayed for four songs. The most unusual part about having an audience is that they were sitting in the doorway behind me, and I couldn't turn around to sing to them (because the microphones can feedback sometimes). But rehearsal went well, and then we began packing up the equipment a bit.

Sat Dec 10 - So now today's the day. Whee! I'm off to grab some breakfast first, then to do some laundry. Then I come home to pack for the day, pack equipment in my car [my car is gonig to be filled with mic stands and odds and ends], then be at the studio by 2 pm. The show is at 9 pm, so I should probably pick up some cash for a dinner run. And I'll need to pack CDs to sell, so I cannot forget the table and CDs and receipts and stuff.

Wish me luck!

Today's Blessing That I'm Thankful For: Joan and Luke, Russell and Andrew (and extended family). I'm actually quite lucky that Russ and Andy are the cousins I grew up the closest to (both geography and age) and now they live in southern CA too, so we see each other throughout the year. And I'm extremely thankful for being able to keep in contact with Joan too, and am truly thankful for her return to health. Love you all.
