Back from Secret Surprise Trip

So, here's the "sooper seekrit surprise event planning" trip I went on: My friend Andrew (Mateo in the SCA) was releasing his first CD at my PJ's (Michael in the SCA)'s resort on Friday. In Wisconsin.

So the surprise was that I flew out for the party and the entire weekend. Here's how the summary goes:

I flew a red-eye Thursday night/Friday morning (and got no sleep for the 4-hours of a screaming baby). Got a shower and a nap when I arrived at Shava and Giles' place. Ran around Madison WI with my dear friend Shava, the seneschal of Northshield, had an amazingly good Indian food dinner with both Shava and Giles. Drove in the pitch-black Wisconsin country-side for 90+ min to get to the resort (including getting slightly lost and being thankful for the cop who pulled me over for 40 in a 25, and only got a warning). Partied with friends for Mateo's first CD release party. Finally kicked it around 4:30 am to sleep.

With everyone else, got up around noon for "breakfast," hung out with friends sewing halloween costumes all evening. Enjoyed buffet at the lodge, partied for Halloween in the resort bar with all my friends enjoying karoake and drinking till about 3 or 4 am. Slept til only about 10, hung out with friends for the morning/early afternoon eating "leftover drunk food" (left over pizza, left over brunch, boxes of goldfish crackers, fresh apples, "fruit by the foot" rolled up dried fruit, sodas...). Packed, drove back to Madison, flew for another 4-5+ hours, arrived around 9-10 pm LAX, went to IHOP with SCA friends at 10:30 pm. Spent today in San Diego for work, and threw a small Halloween party at home with the roomie this evening.

I have no brain. *mush mush*
*giggle*

But around 10:30 this evening, I got to download all my pictures from the weekend and flip through them with Marcos for an hour, telling stories and enjoying the photos. So things are wonderful. *ahhhhh*

More soon. *yawn*
