A "G-Rated Journal" That Even My Mother Can Read (because she does!)

Effervescence is a state of mind. It's about choosing to bring sunshine to the day.
Every person I meet matters.

If it's written down, I know it (If it's not written down, I don't know it)
If it's color-coded, I understand it (If it's not color-coded, I don't understand it)

Just the Announcements

Trying to Recap - The problem with my "Adventures through Narration" is that (a) I love a good story, (b) writing a good story takes some time, (c) I love a well-edited photo album, (d) editing and uploading my photos take time, and (e) I'm constantly running off to the next adventure. But the backlog is getting so great, I just have to stop and tell you the thumbnails of everything lately.

Just the Highlights
  • I went to my first Pennsic ever, which was amazing
  • I traveled to our northern-most Barony for a weekend, taught a class, and made tons of friends
  • Their Majesties surprised me in opening court at Crown Tourney and elevated me to the Pelican
  • I inherited/purchased a large floor loom, um, sorta yesterday
  • I'm headed to Highland War this weekend

Dude. Wow, the highlights are really pretty much all SCA. There have been other things in my life, non-SCA too, this month. I had lunch with my Mom, at least once this month. I visited with my sister for a few hours one weekend, and helped her darn (hand-stitch like you're weaving) the holes in her couch from an enthusiastic puppy. I recorded HOURS and hours of Olympics on my TiVo, and am slowly watching them and dumping them to tape to loan to friends and family. Um, and pretty much the rest was all SCA-related.

The stories each deserved their own entry. So while I finish uploading photos, writing, and editing the narratives, I'll post just this summary and each major tale will get it's own post. More to come, possibly even tonight.

Oh, but as a postscript to the "Pelican" --> I'll be using "Dame" as my title, rather than "Mistress" because we already have a "Mistress Eilidh" in our kingdom. And I've spent years saying, "=She's= Mistress Eilidh" that I just can't break it. *grin*

(And for my non-SCA friends and family --> this means I've been made equal in rank to the Knights and the Masters/Mistresses of the Arts. The "Pelicans" are Peers for their years of Service.)
