Christine's New Chapter
Never look down...

DEMON SOUL was released in MARCH, 2011 by Crescent Moon Press. DEMON HUNT will most likely be released 2012. This, then, is my new reality! The tumor has been removed and I'm recovering, so now it's all about the writing...and dealing with the writing.

A Spectacular Year To Come

Its going to happen this year. The fun, spectacular, hair-raising, exciting, bitchy, wonderful, scary, sad stuff is all going to happen this year. I wonder what configuration it will all take?

My goals for January are to get a synopsis settled for the Rome book and to call the NY editor. Oh, and to get 5 yoga days out of 7. I should be able to handle that. Yet another year to become a yoga-diva! A new yoga place opened up here in Simi (the first one?), so I'll have to check it out. The kids' martial arts come first, though.

It's been a good day so far. Much work done, much still to do (take the tree down, lights down, etc etc), and champagne chilling in the fridge to drink. Yum. Woke up without a hangover, which is good, and managed 45 minutes of yoga/abs work, which is excellent. Now all I need to do is wedge some writing/thinking time in. We'll see. Maybe some writing exercises first, before I work on the synopsis.

I'm currently reading H.V. Morton's 'A Traveler in Rome' and Ross King's 'Michelangelo and the Pope's Ceiling'. I'm almost done with the Morton and just digging into the King. Excellent books, both of them, and even more appropo since we're headed to Rome next month. All the history of the place - a bit mind-boggling. One lifetime is not enough for Rome, as the saying goes. While I'm looking forward to this trip, I'm even more excited about our next trip to Rome, when it will feel like we're back to visit with an old friend.

Welcome to the New Year. Love more than you should; laugh more than you currently do; allow yourself to experience bliss; and let the dust bunnies take care of themselves.
