Tried really hard to write today. Unfortunately, I'd read an article in the RWR about why stories fail - and most of it happens because readers can't care about the main characters.

I am not exactly sure what's wrong with my story yet, but I'm going to put some serious time into it tomorrow to figure it out. Gotta. Time's running short.

Went to spend gift certificates at Robinson's May yesterday - and it turned out to be a 15 hour sale day, woo hoo! Got a couple pairs of pants, a grey turtleneck and a lovely deep rose silk blouse. So I'm one step closer to getting ready for Rome. We leave in 14 days.

Had friends over for dinner last night, our first time with them in a social setting - other than soccer, I mean. It was fun! We had a great time, the kids all had a great time (and made lots of noise), we will definitely get together with them again.

Our kids actually went over there to play with theirs today, so that's good. They both need to broaden their sights when it comes to friendships.

Oops, I think dinner's burning...
