Got up, took a quick shower, drank my first espresso of the day, then called the editor in London. The bad news is that she wasn't in her office. The good news is the number I have for her is her direct line. So I left a message, and will try calling her back tomorrow perhaps at a later time (it was 3pm there).

It's been six months almost to the day that I sent the manuscript out. I'd really like a response soon.

Sigh.
