Christine's New Chapter
Never look down...

DEMON SOUL was released in MARCH, 2011 by Crescent Moon Press. DEMON HUNT will most likely be released 2012. This, then, is my new reality! The tumor has been removed and I'm recovering, so now it's all about the writing...and dealing with the writing.

TROY

Pages Written... 8

Okay, so I've been busy. It's just gone eleven and we've JUST finished dinner because I was busy writing. So sue me, I only got in 8 pages.

Anyway. The car didn't pass it's smog test - I'm guessing not even a new catalytic converter will help. Sigh. Since the beginning of April, it's gone this way - Dryer. Toast, off and on. Lawn Mower. Toast. Car. Probably Toast. And now the vacuum cleaner. Toast, most assuredly. It's in pieces, in the trash. (A magnet got loose and was sparking all over the place. Interesting, but not too safe.)

Aside from all that, TROY was - well. Brad Pitt did a better job than I expected: a great job from Julie Christie and Peter O'Toole and Eric Bana and Orlando Bloom and Sean Bean and the woman who played Persius (sp). Above all else, the movie made me appreciate Peter Jackson as a director MUCH MUCH MORE than I had before. They didn't exactly follow the Iliad - and not having the Gods there hurt the picture, IMHO - overall not too shabby. But about 20 minutes longer than it needed to be.

It was in the way of being so derivative, it was almost embarrassing. And the fight choreography had some good moments but was overall - boring.

I may buy it on DVD, though. Pitt looked awesome. He owes his trainer, big time.
