The fruit in the market seduces me with its scent. Nectarines beckon, peaches preen, apricots make my head dizzy. I love this time of year, when the fruits make it to the market at their scented ripeness - so different from winter fruits.

Went to the Cajun Festival here in Simi. No real big whoop, but it was fun listening to the music. It's a scaled-down Ren Faire type of thing - except no one's in costume and there aren't bad cajun accents running amok. But you do have to pay to get in and buy stuff, which I think is just wrong. At least the rides are free at Disneyland.

Not much else to say, except there's too much to do and too little time all around.

Which reminds me - I've gotta put the steak on the barbie.
