Christine's New Chapter

I had a date today with three other writers, so of course I had to color and cut my hair before I went. The color was a new one I hadn't tried before, and surprise, it looks great - not brassy red, just simple and natural and pretty. So I'm pleased, esp. since it wasn't the most expensive brand out there!

But my hair was too long. So after some futzing around with a ponytail, I finally just parted it down the middle, brought both chunks to each side of my head, and chopped away. At least it got rid of the split ends, anyway...

We met at the Literati Cafe in West L.A. It was nice - Dayle and Jenn and Vera were all there. It's the first time I've met Vera; she's just sent off a Bombshell proposal to HQ/SIL, but she's sold quite a few short stories in the Sci Fi Fantasy world - so I was the only "unpubbed" there today. Oh well - I know that will change, given time.

Dayle's come off a lot of travel, and about to go off to a Novel workshop up north somewhere. And Jenn's still recovering from her 'pre-test' for her black belt, which will be held in a couple of weeks. Anyway, we chatted, ate lunch, and just had a good time together, being writers in West L.A.

The kids are happy, no homework - they can scent the end of the school year.

No word on my mother-in-law's condition, other than the tidbit that dementia often goes along with encephalitis.

Overall, it's been a good day - Makeover, successful.

Christine's New Chapter Never look down... DEMON SOUL was released in MARCH, 2011 by Crescent Moon Press. DEMON HUNT will most likely be released 2012. This, then, is my new reality! The tumor has been removed and I'm recovering, so now it's all about the writing...and dealing with the writing.
