Christine's New Chapter
Never look down...

DEMON SOUL was released in MARCH, 2011 by Crescent Moon Press. DEMON HUNT will most likely be released 2012. This, then, is my new reality! The tumor has been removed and I'm recovering, so now it's all about the writing...and dealing with the writing.

Amazingly wonderful

I can't describe adequately the energy and camaraderie amongst the 1900 or so women at the RWA conference. The sense of sisterhood is so huge. It's a sharing, caring environment rather than a closed-off, you-can't-have-any environment. I've been so lucky.

Met Maggie Shayne at conference. She's a joy, a whirlwind, and I feel so lucky to have met her. We were introduced by my friend Von, whom I stayed with in Texas. Unfortunately, conference being what it is, I didn't get to spend much time with her.

Met a bunch of my online chapter mates, too; Arwen, Cai, Tawny to name the three I most enjoyed meeting. Susan was there too, she was the first familiar face I saw so that was sweet! Our Friday night bash went really well, though I booked out kind of early.

Overall, the level of acceptance and support I got from people who had never met me before (Maggie, Pam McCutcheon, Cindy Gerard, Arwen, Cai, Tawny) was awesome. I'm still feeling the thrill!

Yoga class yesterday was another jolt of amazement. At the end of class, Julie, my instructor, always gives a cool down and a meditative talk. Yesterday her talk was about being a light for others, calm in the middle of a storm, sure of our place in the world. Angels are with us.

I don't know, I'm mis-stating some stuff I'm sure - but it was one of the most amazing pieces. And the two of us were alone in the huge room, as the other two class attendees had left early.

This, on top of Arwen's tarot read Wednesday night, really spoke to me. I'm still not entirely sure what's happening in my corner of the world, but I feel really good about it.
