Christine's New Chapter
Never look down...

DEMON SOUL was released in MARCH, 2011 by Crescent Moon Press. DEMON HUNT will most likely be released 2012. This, then, is my new reality! The tumor has been removed and I'm recovering, so now it's all about the writing...and dealing with the writing.

Music, Dinner, and Garlic Hands

Last night, hubby and I went to LACMA to catch their last, I believe, free jazz session at the museum this summer. The wine was okay (expensive), the seats terrific (we got there an hour early), and the jazz was fine. The company, however, was hot! =D

An older man, a character actor whom I didn't recognize completely, was looking for a place to sit and we asked him to join us since we had an extra chair. Turns out he and hubby had a couple of acquaintances in common, and they talked theatre through most of the jazz. Fun! Really nice guy. But the jazz didn't sit well with him, so he left kind of early.

Then we decided to go, as well, and wandered through the early 20th Century American section of the museum. Some wonderful paintings, none of which I remember totally right now. And then, being peckish, we decided to come home and find a nearby restaurant to have dinner. The Macaroni Grill came through.

Wonderful time, and the kids were sleeping over elsewhere so a wonderful after dinner time as well.

Tonight we're having friends over for dinner, so all day I've been doing something - focaccia this morning, bruschetta topping this afternoon, soon I'll have to pick the rocket and make up the salad. I'll wait on the chicken, though, until absolutely the last minute as that takes no time at all (Parmesean chicken. OMG is it good!).

My hands smell like garlic, and basil. There are eggplants to pick in the garden. The day has been hot, but summer is ending. Next week, we start school orientations and picking out lunch boxes and finding the route to school. Fall nears.
