I've just gone through and 'carded' the second five chapters of my Lily novel. I was entranced, to put it mildly. Yeah, there are things that need fixing, but over all the story has heart. Not a bad thing to strive for when writing a novel, I suppose. And some parts made me laugh out loud. I was pleased and surprised at that.

I'm thinking that it would make a fun play - multi-media, since there'd be the radio show set in one corner, her living room in most of the stage, and a screen for all the off-set running sequences. The dialog already cracks me up, and the thought of interrupting that with introspection sends a shiver up my spine.

Of course, I could turn it into a movie script - nah. Pie in the sky ideas. I will now return to my manuscript and continue to treat it as a novel that I'm excited about. Though I have a terrible feeling I'll be losing much of the first five chapters, as I find my stride in the second five...we'll see.

And now, time to get snacks ready for our trip to the Galaxy game tonight.
