Christine's New Chapter
Never look down...

DEMON SOUL was released in MARCH, 2011 by Crescent Moon Press. DEMON HUNT will most likely be released 2012. This, then, is my new reality! The tumor has been removed and I'm recovering, so now it's all about the writing...and dealing with the writing.

I'm up, so may as well start the day. (Yawn)

I realized something as I was rewriting yesterday. When I first started work again on Lily, I listened to the same music that I wrote it in...and didn't really see, or perhaps that's *couldn't* really see, what was wrong with it, or rather what needed a boost or the delete key.

Well. Using a different set of music has helped jar the brain and bring elegant solutions to seemingly impossible problems with the novel. So I'm pleased as punch (another expression I have to wonder about. How is punch pleased?).

The things thought of at three in the morning. (yawn) Will now spend a bit of time on Lily, even though I need to clean up my desk and find the new insurance paperwork. Oh, and to just make a list of everything I need to do, starting with finding a ride to pick up my car (needed both front and rear brakes, darn it). Even had to move my platelet donation time to next week because I don't have the car to get there. Sigh.

Watched Monty Python and the Holy Grail last night with the boys, after our long walk to the Borders near us. It felt good to be able to laugh. There hasn't been much to laugh about recently.

A friend of mine sold a story to Woman's World. Her first sale, and she gets $1,000 for it. Not too bad. I'd really like to try that market (she sold the third story she'd sent to them), but I don't know how to write a short story, and don't know if I should take time out from everything else to write one.

Decisions, decisions.
