Christine's New Chapter
Never look down...

DEMON SOUL was released in MARCH, 2011 by Crescent Moon Press. DEMON HUNT will most likely be released 2012. This, then, is my new reality! The tumor has been removed and I'm recovering, so now it's all about the writing...and dealing with the writing.

Exercise Done... Walked 60 minutes

As we went on our walk this morning, in all it's cloudy and rain-droppy pleasure, I pointed out to hubby that whoever did most of the landscaping in Simi had to be from the East. The leaves are changing color.

We have red, orange, bright yellow. Gorgeous trees that stand amidst the evergreens, that overshadow the palm trees, that proclaim loudly "it's AUTUMN". We here in Southern California do, too, have seasons. They just tend to be a bit more low-key than in other areas. We feel them, just the same, without being bludgeoned with the changes.

I'm going on a Date tonight. Actually, a double-date, with our nurse-neighbors. We're going out to eat (without the kids! Shock!), then to a local bar where we're going to hear a third neighbor's band play (he plays percussion). We haven't spent time with the nurses since the beginning of soccer season, so this will be good. It's funny, though, getting ready for a date and having my date pop in and around while I'm getting spiffy. The most exciting part, however, was when I was stuck in the bathroom. The door-that-always-sticks, stuck with a vengeance. Finally I got out...and the doorknob is in the trash. Time for a new one that actually works. 9+ years is long enough for the one that didn't.

My eldest son scored his first-ever goal! He had three separate tries; the first time, he hit the side pole. The second time, he hit the cross bar. The third time, wham! It just sailed over the goalie's outstretched hands to slide sweetly into the net. The other team remained scoreless until the last minute of the game. It ended up a tie, 1-1. And my son got the first goal. *beams proudly*
