Christine's New Chapter
Never look down...

DEMON SOUL was released in MARCH, 2011 by Crescent Moon Press. DEMON HUNT will most likely be released 2012. This, then, is my new reality! The tumor has been removed and I'm recovering, so now it's all about the writing...and dealing with the writing.

One scene down, one to go...

Pages Re-Written... 13
Listening to... Buffy The Album
Exercise Done... Lots and lots of shivering

Finally finished the scene that needed to be inserted in chapter 16. Am now faced with only the ending in chapter 17, so that's a good thing. And then I just have to read through the entire thing before printing it out and sending it off to the agent. Yeah, okay, so I was a bit ambitious when I thought I could finish it by Friday. Shrug, as my teenager says. The important thing is to have a good product to show, correct?

Yeah. That's what I thought.

Today has been a day. Chilly doesn't exactly describe it. I woke up at 3ish in the morning, the dogs howling as loud as the wind. So I got up, let the dogs in, and slept for a couple hours in the living room with them on the floor by my side. Peaceful, except for the moaning and groaning of the wind. It was nice not to worry about the roof!

Finally put them out again about 5:30am. The wind had died down, but not the cold. Slept until almost nine, and when I did get up hubby plied me with coffee and the Sunday funnies (Steve Dallas is back! Woo!) and then slipped MODIGLIANI into the DVD player, and whoosh! There went most of the morning.

Interesting movie. Paris, 1919, Montparnasse - the area we'll be staying in come February. In a nutshell, Modigliani had a mistress whom he loved, who had his baby. Unfortunately, he also had tuburculosis, which killed him while poor Jeanne was pregnant with their second child. Two days after his death, she killed herself and their child by jumping (or falling, or whatever) out of their 5th story apartment window. The movie said that they are buried together; I don't know, but I'm planning on looking him up in the cemetaire.

Chilly. The front thermometer had us at 46 degrees F. The back thermometer had us at 56 degrees F. I believe the 46, I think. I've had a fire going now for 3 hours, and there's a nice chicken stewing in wine and broth with carrots and parsnips and potatoes and onion and some barley for luck.

I haven't made a single coil bowl, nor put up a single article of laundry. I guess that's a pleasure for tomorrow, AFTER the manuscript gets out. Though maybe it'll go on Tuesday. At this point, I'm not that worried. Perhaps because I'm not that expectant.

Shrug.
