Christine's New Chapter
Never look down...

DEMON SOUL was released in MARCH, 2011 by Crescent Moon Press. DEMON HUNT will most likely be released 2012. This, then, is my new reality! The tumor has been removed and I'm recovering, so now it's all about the writing...and dealing with the writing.

Ups and Downs

No new writing yet, which is a down, though the brain is thinking thinking thinking. Made some awesome pumpkin cheesecake (thanks, Jon!) and pumpkin bread (thanks, Greg!), so those are both ups.

Oh, and hubby now has clean underwear due to the fact I finally did some laundry. (Hey, I take my ups where I can get them, you know?)

Anyway. Hubby's aunt came through surgery with flying colors, but she'll be in a nursing home for several weeks while she recovers (broken hip + surgery). The real shocker is her lungs look good, esp. since she's smoked since she's been 16 or so. Relatives on that end are keeping us up to date. Two - no, three more ups.

Went to aerobics on Tuesday and Thursday, both ups - but yoga was cancelled today, a down. Tomorrow is strength training and Pilates, a down and an up!

Just can't seem to get my office cleaned, which was slotted for this week. So that's a down. Paid property tax, so that's a down. (Real sucky time, December, for property tax.)

Found out this agent that's considering me (or, am I considering him? Hmmm.) doesn't want to represent category novelists at this time. So that may swerve my writing a bit. And oh, am I glad I didn't send him anything category! So this is a personal up, and a personal down for friends of mine who are not with him any more.

And to top it all off, got all bundled up to suffer through an hour of soccer. When we got there, the fields were full with games and no team of ours to be found. We come home and (*finally*) check the schedule; sure enough, practice was Tuesday (the same day we heard about the aunt in Arizona). So a down that the kids didn't get to practice for their playoff games this weekend; and an up because I didn't have to be out in the thrashing wind at 42 degrees (w/windchill).

I think I'll slip into comfies, make pizza for the boys, sip some wine, and wait for hubby to come home from class (some computer geek class he's taking. Don't ask me what.).

Tomorrow I see Jenn, which is a huge up.

And that's the ups and downs report for this week so far.
