There is a rejection epidemic going on in my circle of RWA friends. Some say it always happens this way at the end of the year, editors frantically clearing off their desks and rejecting stuff they haven't read...but I don't believe it, because editors want good books. I think this whole rejection thing is a passing phase, and soon everyone I know will be getting contracts instead of "so close but not this time" rejections.

One woman thinks she might stop writing. She just got her first rejection ever on a novel requested by Tor. But stopping is stupid, because she's good. But then again, if one rejection is enough to stop her, then there's more room for me and my work to get through.

I mean, I'm not the world's champ at not letting rejections get to me, but neither do I want to walk away from it.

Ahem. Time to go write.
