I'm sitting in my 700-seat venue mixing one of the strangest events I've ever been involved in. It's a "Theology of Hip-Hop" concert/panel interview session.

It's actually quite interesting, just too damn loud.

I've been too busy to look up, so I guess a few days have gone by since my last entry. Work has been super crappy, but I've been sleeping better the last few nights. Next week should be better.

Dinner's in my tummy, which is a plus - thank goodness for Trader Joe's TV Dinners!!

I just found out that one of my good friends, Annie, got engaged last weekend. Yeeps! I'm very excited for her! I have to admit, it makes me feel a little old. Anyhow, congrats Annie!

I think I have an "ear migraine" - it happens sometimes when I've been mixing a really loud gig (like this one). Every sound, in a full 360-degree panorama, comes through crystal clear and distinct. I lose the ability to filter out sounds that are coming from unimportant areas. It reminds me of how my eyes feel when I have a migraine. Not as painful, though.

I guess I should go do my job now; the music's about to start...
