WoW-ie!

My life has been consumed - almost - by a game. WoW. Never thought it would happen to me. I was wrong!

I started playing World of Warcraft about two and a half weeks ago. Since that time, I have had trouble getting myself to do:

Journaling
Dishes
Laundry
Eat food
Dishes
Errands
Grocery Shopping
Pointless meetings
Dishes
Call my Mom
Talk to my husband
Work - in general
Treat my leg (better now!)
Exercize
Etc...

The worst part is, Andy's hooked too - worse than me! So our apartment looks like a war zone, and neither of us care as long as there is room to sit down in front of our respective computers and room for food/drink somewhere near the right hand.

It would probably be a crackup watching us play simultaneously; we're sitting about three feet away from each other, facing each other with headphones on, concentrating intensely, typing furiously, occasionally groaning, but never speaking or acknowledging that we're on the same planet. Funny!

In any case, I have not actually skipped work, martial arts or any social time to play, so I guess I'm doing OK. I did get the laundry done, which was good. So I suppose my life is not totally consumed. I hold out hope that my obsession will turn into a healthy, rewarding...um, hobby?...that provides stress relief, co-spousal activity and enhanced typing skill.

In the meantime, we actually did get our new apartment in Granada Hills. The power was supposed to come on today (which it didn't, of course) and we get internet/phone/cable/gas next week. Yay!!!!!! and double Yay!!!!!!!!!! No more hour-and-forty-five-minute drives to class in traffic. Yay!!!!!!!

OK, I'm done. Goodnight!

Goodnight!
