Dark Horse The life and times of a meditative horse trainer. I'm a second generation born and raised Alaskan. I've very proud of that, my roots are here. While I want to see as much of the world as I can, I want to raise my children here. I'm a dedicated student of the horse, of life and I love to learn. I try to leave no stone unturned in my life. Nothing is good if taken at just face value there is always more, to people, an animal, a thought, a dream. I'm an intensity junky, I live my life with passion as if every action were my very last, and I love the colors that this passion has brought to me. It's my hope to share this small window of myself with my readers. If you surfed in please make yourself at home and stay a while, if your one of my loved one's who are here, I love you for all you have educated me in to make my life this amazing. |

2005-08-18 8:02 AM Reflection in the Full Moon "It does not matter that only a few in each generation will grasp and achieve the full reality of man’s proper stature–and the rest will betray it. It is those few that move the world and give life its meaning–and it is those few that I have always sought to address. The rest are no concern of mine; it is not me or "The Fountainhead" that they will betray: it is their own souls." Ayn Rand
The Moon is starting to look pretty full, which in fact it will be full by tomorrow morning. I revel in the energy of a full moon, no it isn’t because I get to go dance naked under it either! However; that does sound like a good time! I love the energy of a full moon because all you have felt comes to a head with the full moon, all the things over the last month that you have dealt with, worked on, though of or dreamed pours forth one final time to be reviewed. Some go crazy on a full moon, others find peace. Usually I find peace, but hey we aren’t there yet! This full moon happens to come conjunct with Mercury the trickster then flows into Neptune the dreamer. So the bad news is your emotions will be far more volatile this full moon, the good news is…. Umm well…. I’m stumped as to the good news; let me find my Optimist hat…. Okay here we go I will take a stab. I suppose the good news about this could be that being volatile is perhaps the one final straw that some folks need to push them over the edge and be honest with themselves. There are those of you out there who sit on your emotions and go with the flow. At times like this, the heavens might be helping push you to do something about your current situation. You see Rage, Anger and Fury or RAF Factor are oftentimes the body’s red flags to wake the hell up and pay attention to a situation that is damaging you. I think you know who you are. It's always a good idea to set a little evening time aside and send out your intentions the evening before the Full Moon. To do that all you need to do is get yourself into a calm state of mind and imagine being surrounded by all that is supportive and kind. Then let yourself see your life as if everything you ever wanted was actually here. Feel the feeling of having no problems, of having abundance and of the promise of always being cared for and loved. Anchor yourself in that feeling and send it off to the supportive Universe around you. When you are done, fill yourself up with gratitude. You have a lot to be grateful for, even if it doesn't always seem that way when your in the trenches, don’t lose sight of what you have to be grateful for. Whatever you want to do today, you can do without worry. Mercury a prankster so some surprise bit of news could potentially be on your horizon as the evening closes its darkness around you as I saw that I roll my eyes as it’s just about impossible to surprise me anymore. Perhaps though in the light of the nearly full moon, we will all be reminded that we do have all we need all we needed to do was open our eyes. Perhaps that is surprise enough...
