She's like the girl in the movie when the Spitfire falls
Like the girl in the picture that he couldn't afford
She's like the girl with the smile in the hospital ward
Like the girl in the novel in the wind on the moors

Oversleeping, sort of on purpose

Erm, well, we didn’t make it to the demo. We overslept. Sadly, that was sort of on purpose. As we went to bed last night, we discussed what we’d do if we didn’t go… This is a really big demo and we knew a lot of people would be there; otherwise we absolutely would have gone.

Anyway, today we headed out to the sewing room. I finished my white linen leine, cut out the sleeves for my Irish dress (which I’ve been wearing sans sleeves for several years), finished mending a loaner tunic, and made labels for some of the fabric boxes. I meant to cut out a few pairs of bloomers, but I didn’t get around to it. I started getting really hungry, and so I came in… Ken worked on a linen shirt, and helped me with the leine and sleeves. He also fixed the ironing board so it wouldn’t bang when we opened the door (it hangs on the door, see).

And I’ve almost cleaned out all my e-mail, which is quite spiffy. Oh, and I got a story ready to mail.
