Musings About Writing and Stories About Life

She's like the girl in the movie when the Spitfire falls
Like the girl in the picture that he couldn't afford
She's like the girl with the smile in the hospital ward
Like the girl in the novel in the wind on the moors

Artsy

Hah! I just realised that I made the placket for my German dress less than two years ago, so I can enter it in the contest. I have primary documentation in the form of pictures, so the write-up won’t be too hard. That gives me five items in three categories (which is the max allowed):

The Project That Cannot Be Mentioned: either fiber or functional
German placket: fiber
rose beads: functional
leather mask: visual
gonfalon: visual

My biggest concern right now are the docs for the rose beads and TPTCBM. With rose beads, I do have primary documentation, but only secondary sources that say that they were used to make rosaries. With TPTCBM, I KNOW they were used in period, but I can’t find a whit of documentation. I think I’m using the right terms; it’s just that they’re used in modern times, too, so that’s what usually shows up in a Google search.
