She's like the girl in the movie when the Spitfire falls
Like the girl in the picture that he couldn't afford
She's like the girl with the smile in the hospital ward

Hangin' with the cool kids

A lovely day. Got up too early and got lost on the way to the BoD meeting, but sorted everything out. Hugs and kisses from Keilyn and Ormswyn—it’s so wonderful to see them again. Sat in on the meeting in the morning. Nothing thrilling, but interesting to hear about the various things they’re working on. Apparently I will receive official kudos in tomorrow’s meeting for the site booklet. That’s a warm fuzzy. :-) Anyway, they were going into private stuff after lunch, so we grabbed CJ’s and came home, then went to Costco. Ken was working on the main computer, trying to get my Palm to work (still no luck), so I did a crossword puzzle and relaxed. Headed back out, and went out to dinner with K&O at a sushi place. Mmmmm, suuuuuushi. The restaurant had rock-n-rolls! My absolute favourite! Many were consumed. Then Keilyn had to go back into the meeting, so we kidnapped Ormswyn and went to see “League of Extraordinary Gentlemen”. It was pretty good. Special effects were trés spiffy, and the storyline kept my attention, even if you could drive trucks through the plot holes. The MTV-like action/fight scenes got annoying quickly. We lost illumination from the camera for a minute or two, and someone hauled out a flashlight and started doing handshadows on the ceiling, which was hilarious. Afterwards, we went back to the hotel, but the bar was closing (at 10:30! What the fuck?!), so Ken and Ormswyn went out to buy beer and I hung out with the non-Directors. Renee from the main office complimented me on the booklet. I was circumspect and did not comment on how many times my membership has been screwed up. I also met the King of Trimaris, who seemed like a nice guy. Ken and Ormswyn returned, and we went up to K&O’s room, followed by Meg (SCA president), her husband, and Giuseppe (local Laurel). Amusing conversation ensued. We eventually staggered out after midnight. Now it’s after 1 and we have to get up for an event tomorrow, so I should go. Especially because this paragraph has gotten unforgivably too long
