Musings About Writing and Stories About Life

She's like the girl in the movie when the Spitfire falls
Like the girl in the picture that he couldn't afford
She's like the girl with the smile in the hospital ward
Like the girl in the novel in the wind on the moors

Present-ing

I just ordered myself some flannel jammies and cotton shirts, all on sale, from Victoria’s Secret. We’re going back to NY for Yule, and it’ll be chilly, so the jammies were needed. They have sparkly stars all over them. :-)

Yule presents that I’ve ordered have begun to arrive. How exciting! I love buying presents for people. I’m still wracking my brains about what to get some people, though. Hrm.

We went to visit Caterine & Emrys yesterday. They live about 1.5 hours away, and we wanted to get there in mid-afternoon, so we spent a fair amount of the day away. It rained heavily on the way there, which slowed us down. (Now, mind you, it was so lovely to wake up to the sound of rain…) We had bruschetta and garlic toast and various olives and feta cheese as appetizers, and lentil soup and foccaccia for supper. Much yumminess. I’ve been craving things like bruschetta and olive tapanade lately. Perhaps a Trader Joe’s run is in order…

Lots of things on the To Do list today, not the least of which is starting the editing on the novella. We need to go food shopping as well, and do laundry, and that sort of thing. First, however, a shower is in order…
