Musings About Writing and Stories About Life

She's like the girl in the movie when the Spitfire falls
Like the girl in the picture that he couldn't afford
She's like the girl with the smile in the hospital ward
Like the girl in the novel in the wind on the moors

First sale of the year!

Words Written: none. Gone all day, packing tonight, exhausted throughout. I’ll get extra done tomorrow.

First sale of 2006! A perverse little erotica story to Fishnetmag.com. They’ve held it for a long time (busy year there at Blowfish.com) so I’m especially pleased that they want it.

And busy day here today, although most of it was spent in Lake Elsinore. We didn’t find any great furniture pieces, lamps, or stained glass, but we did take away some silver pieces, some glass bottles and the like, some hat boxes (not really old ones, but pretty ones), and some woodworking equipment. Morgana got similar things, and lace curtains and runners. We stayed later than we expected (the place was huge, and truly was crammed full of stuff—it was an antiques/collectibles shop at one time), so we hit traffic on the way home. Rather than sit in traffic, we called Caterine and Emrys, since we were 10 minutes from their house, and went to their place and ordered pizza and hung out for a while. Got home much later than planned. I’m exhausted to the point of stressed about packing, so I’m going to do as much as I can and then fall over, with the hopes of being vaguely efficient in the morning.

Talk to you all again in a few days when we get to our destination!
