Musings About Writing and Stories About Life

She's like the girl in the movie when the Spitfire falls
Like the girl in the picture that he couldn't afford
She's like the girl with the smile in the hospital ward
Like the girl in the novel in the wind on the moors

Truffling along

Words Written: “Rhythm Like a Heartbeat” 454; “The Broken Fiddle” 682

It’s one of those days where all I want to do is curl up and eat Trader Joe’s chocolate truffles and watch movies, and the feeling is exacerbated by a mild headache and high winds outside (which may be the partial cause of the headache). But no, we have Things To Do, and we’ll punctuate them with some TV-watching here and there.

Most e-mail dealt with, other mail &tc. dealt with, food shopping and drugstore purchases completed, tasty dinner made (salmon, asparagus, brown rice), and some writing done. It’s late now, so more of a real update tomorrow.

However, I do want to mention that my comp copy of Sex…in the Kitchen arrived! Tantalizing cover. It contains the Sophie Mouette story “All About the Ratings” (Iron Chef–type competition gets steamy) and a solo story by Teresa, “Cooking Lessons.” It’s available for pre-order at amazon.com and amazon.co.uk and it would make me a very happy girl indeed if ya’ll bought it. And said nice things about it, if you have nice things to say about it.
