Musings About Writing and Stories About Life

She's like the girl in the movie when the Spitfire falls
Like the girl in the picture that he couldn't afford
She's like the girl with the smile in the hospital ward
Like the girl in the novel in the wind on the moors

Words Written: Chloe: edits, synopsis work; Angelika: 660
Exercise: drat

We went grocery shopping tonight, and Damn Yankees came over the sound system. You know you’re old when your grocery store plays Ted Nugent.

Feeling much better today, and thanks to everyone who expressed concern. It wasn’t a big thing. Peer closely and you’ll have noticed it was, in fact, a monthly thing. That, combined with the fact that I was editing rather than writing—and I haven’t figured out how to make editing as subconscious a process as writing—caused the tearing-of-hair thing.

So I made changes to the synopsis, reviewed it a few hours later, and it’s back to Teresa for a final pass (we hope).

And I got back to work on Angelika, which I’ve written only about 20K on so far, and which needs to be done by the end of the month…
