Musings About Writing and Stories About Life

She's like the girl in the movie when the Spitfire falls
Like the girl in the picture that he couldn't afford
She's like the girl with the smile in the hospital ward
Like the girl in the novel in the wind on the moors

The good parts version

Words Written: lots of editing on various things, no appreciable writing
Writing Stats: A Sophie story, “Busted,” is a finalist for Best Lesbian Erotica 2007! Approximately 70% of the stories will appear in the final book, and that worked well for me in the past. Received rejection for a short romance from The Sun, but the suggestion that I send them something else. Must do a bit of research first. Could be a nicely lucrative deal. Networking has resulted in more private calls for submissions. Doing lots of publicity, hopefully resulting in some good reviews!

You know what I love most about exercising? The endorphins. Endorphins endorphins endorphins! (Imagine that with little hearts and starbursts around it.) Whee!

Excitement! I just ordered a brand-spankin’-new Tungsten E2 Palm, the GPS software and peripherals to go with it, and a wireless keyboard! My previous Palm (my second one) was showing its age, wouldn’t accept the updated Docs to Go software, and the keyboard was crapping out or something. Apple just isn’t paying attention to my wishes and coming out with the perfect handheld. I toyed with the idea of an Alphasmart instead, but a major use I have for the Palm is shopping lists, calendar, etc. When we discovered the GPS option, there was no question. We’d been discussing getting one for the car, and this solves several problems all at once.

More of the usual is going on, but hey, them’s the exciting things. Still bouncing about Sequoia and upcoming Stygian goodness.
