The EU travel ban, along with a freeze on his assets, were imposed last February. The UK Government will seek to renew it at a meeting of foreign ministers next week.

Oh, we've imposed sanctions on Zimbabwe as well.

In case you're not familiar with Mugabe, he uses torture and starvation as political weapons and facilitates campaigns to kill, beat, and drive white farmers from their land. He's a swell guy.

So swell, in fact, that no other European country would touch him with a ten-foot pole.

Except for that bastion of compassion, France.
