I admin a mailing list for NEAT (NeuroEvolution of Augmenting Topologies), a technique for evolving artifical neural networks. Since switching over to GMail, I occasionally glance at the "Sponsored Links".

Since we usually talk about neural networks and evolution, I sometimes see links to commercial neural network-based products, or similar items. But today, here were the links:

Now I was down with the whole targetted advertising for GMail, but if this kind of tripe keeps popping up, I'm gonna have to complain or something.

Here's some sample text from the first link (no, I'm not making this shit up):

The God Hypothesis seeks to reverse the profound misunderstanding that science has somehow disproven the existence of God by showing how the latest scientific evidence points in precisely the opposite direction.

Drawing on the fairy tale of "Goldilocks and the Three Bears," Michael A. Corey concludes that the "just right" natural conditions that created life on earth provide overwhelming evidence of an Intelligent Designer at work.

I'm drawing on the fairy tale "Little Red Riding Hood" to conclude "My, what an unscientific book you have!"

Google...what are you guys doing over there?
