Hell everyone and welcome to "Silly Thinking with Douglas Lain Now Union Made" I'm Jim Farris with "Monday Off The Top Of My Head".

It looks like the California recall election is back on track for Oct 7th. A federal panel of 11 conservative judges will review the Republican complaint that the recall should be reinstalled today. It looks like a sure bet that they will defeat the federal appeals court ruling to postpone the recall for several months. The reason all of this occured is those punch card ballots which are illegal but still in use. It seems there is no way the election can be honest but those federal judges will declare the election "fair and balanced" within 48 hours.
Federal judges, punch card ballots,an illegal election... you know I could of sworn... never mind.

The U.S. Army arrested the chaplain they sent to Guantanamo Bay Cuba on unspecified charges two weeks ago. Chaplain Yee has been in the Army for over 20 years and had converted to the muslim faith. No official word on any of this but a low ranking Army guy in Cuba said he might have tried to help the prisoners "in a way that was outside procedure". Word is they will try him on spying a/o treason.

My sink backed up yesterday emitting a really foul odor. My landlord finally showed up an hour and half later and fixed the leak, causing another larger one. My entire day was disrupted as I exchanged small talk while he had his stuck head under the kitchen sink. He left around 7:30 pm and I had to scuttle my nice little dinner for a quickie snack which I prepared in a dirty smelly kitchen.

The Galileo spacecraft plunged into the planet Jupiter yesterday and melted.
