Hello everyone and welcome to "The Monday Off The Top Of My Head Monday" report.I'm Jim Farris filling in for Pepper.

This weekend I realized something unexpected. The Bush Administration has improved the economy and are loosing the war.
Incredible.

The mantra for the White House is to say something positve about the war regardless of what's happened. Yesterday was the bloodiest day of the war since it ended. 15 service men and women died when the helicopter they were on was missle attacked. They were going home for R&R. One was returning home for the funeral of his mother.

When presented with these facts the war mongers ignored it and stated things like "..we must focus on the fact that it's getting better" and
"We are winning the peace". Shit like that.
The polls now say the American people are 51 to 47% opposed to the ongoing war and think the administration is not doing a good job.
These words are continuing to sound like the White House circa 1966 and '67 when Viet Nam was turining into an ongoing joke from a military and civillian standpoint.

The Bush Administration is now sending thousands more National Guard troops to the meat grinder in Iraq. These people joined the guard (mostly) for financial security and to fight fires or quell emergencies here and are under trained for a war. I've always supported the volunteer army and guard programs because it replaced the draft. But I don't think it's fair to send them to certain death and wave the flag so Haliburton can make billions of dollars.

It's a slaughter. And the numbers are growing. Because the U.S. is running low on bodies and they have no plan to stop it. Nothing. Just keep sending and killing under trained soldiers and murdering civillians unitl there aren't any more.
Meanwhile domestic economic numbers are up by 7.5 per cent. So now the democrats will run on the war. Incredible.

This situation is sickening. So many civillians are bieng sent to Iraq with the National Guard that local businesses and police agencies are really hurting. The Guardsmen can't be replaced when they are away and the government will not provide any funding for temporarily filling their jobs.

It's going to be a body bag Christmas for a lot of Americans and the White House proudly proclaims "We will not leave!".
I hope they do. The election is a year away and I think they'll leave.
We must vote in record numbers so even if they fix the election (which they are planning to do) they can't destroy a landslide.
I am personally planning to give Ralph Nader a ride in a flaming Corvair with the windows rolled up, then voting twice for anybody the democrats run (except Joe Lieberman who should just... well DIE).
