THIS IS A SPECIAL "HOLIDAY OF TERROR" REPORT FROM "SILLY THINKING".

CC: Good evening. We are interrupting our regular schedule tonight for a special HOLIDAY OF TERROR report.
Homeland Security Chief Tom Ridge held a news conference earlier today and announced the Terror Alert Warning System has been elevated to HIGH- that's ORANGE if your keeping score at home.
CC:Let me repeat: THE TERROR ALERT WARNING SYSTEM HAS BEEN ELEVATED TO HIGH- ORANGE- FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE HOLIDAYS AND BEYOND. Tom Ridge said that the terror is (quote) "perhaps greater now than at any other point since September 11th 2001".
CC: Security has been increased in the nations capital, Washington D.C., and in places like New York City, Miami, Boston, New Jersey, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Anahiem California, and other points in the United States where population numbers more than 150.
CC:In New York City at a press conference held today Mayor Bloomberg (who was elected to that office after Rudolph Guilliani left the city to embark on a lucrative private life) said:
Bloomberg: "We can't stop living. We aren't going to stop living..."
CC: With us now is former Sceretary of State Henry Kissinger. Good evening, Doctor Kissinger.
HK: Good evening, Connie. Hi everyone.
CC: Yes. Doctor Kissinger, should New Yorkers continue living as the Mayor suggests, or should they stop living as any normal person might want to do?
HK: Vell Connie... uhhh... vell you know... of course they should continue living... in terror and just hope that.. uhh... we catch the bastards who did this and... take appropriate steps to stop the terror. Like we did with Sadaam.
CC: Should New Yorkers live in spider holes, Doctor Kissinger?
HK: Vell, spider holes like the one Sadaam lived in or the one Dick Cheney lives in are not bad in themselves. But, no, they should continue to live in their homes, in terror, and enjoy the holidays.
CC: Thank you Doctor Kissinger.
Well, there you have it. Bridges are closed, buildings are being patrolled, and innocent citizens are being detained at airports because they look like they may be terror people.
Tom Ridge says you should enjoy the holidays, even as you're being watched and detained, and stay vigilant.
