A Bit of Randomness

Most people go through life dreading they'll have a traumatic experience. Freaks were born with their trauma. They've already passed their test in life. They're aristocrats. --Diane Arbus

Stuff

So I finally call the place to see if any decision has been made about a job for me. And I'm told that nothing's been decided, interviews are apparantly still being conducted but since most people that can make any sort of decision about any of the jobs will be at a big convention next week, I should hear *something* before they leave.

*Sigh* Ok. At least the chick knew who I was when I called.

But not three hours later, she calls me back, apologizes for not having this info earlier and would I be able to come back on Monday for another few hours? Of course I can go back! And this time, I'll be interviewing with two people I interviewed with before, a former co-worker (we got along very well) and possibly the woman that made all this possible in the first place. So this is a good thing. Yes. It's definitely a good thing.

And all these interviews even knowing that I'm pregnant and due in September. I almost cried when I first broached the subject and the first response from the head of H.R. was, 'We love babies!'.

On top of that, unemployment has decided I'm really not faking the back injury: "The claimant has presented medical evidence to establish that he/she was compelled to quit due to personal* illness or injury. Ohio's legal standard that determine if a quit is with just cause is whether the claimant acted as an ordinary person** would have under similar circumstances. After a review of the facts, this agency finds the claimant quit with just cause..."

*as opposed to a public illness or injury. Wouldn't *that* have been a fun show at the mall?

**are they trying to say I'm weird or unsual in some way? :^)

Regardless, these are happy things.

Now if I can just get the nausea and mood swings to go away...
