A Bit of Randomness

Most people go through life dreading they'll have a traumatic experience. Freaks were born with their trauma. They've already passed their test in life. They're aristocrats. --Diane Arbus

Tempting Fate

(Please note that I am madly knocking wood and muttering "kenna hora" (you try spelling it!) throughout this whole post)

I have to consider myself incredibly lucky. I have a wonderful family, amazing friends, a roof over my head, food to eat, a job I love...

*Sigh*

So right after I posted the other day (ok, later that night) Dylan was on the floor playing. She rolled from her back to tummy. We cheered and applauded her. She smiled, rolled back onto her back, which only garnered her more praise. So she proceeded to roll back and forth a few times. Very cute.

However, changing time has become an exercise session. Between the feet in her mouth (yes, they finally got there) and the rolling back and forth...well, you can imagine.

And in more "I guess it's not just me" news, not only did the daycare comment yet again on how good natured and wonderful my daughter is, one of my coworkers remarked that we should enter her in a baby photo contest that a baby superstore is running. And this is after the mall excursion where more than one person, after seeing Dylan, called to a friend/fellow shopper "oh my gosh, you have to see how cute this baby is!"

I dunno. Maybe people are just being very polite. But I still think she's one damn fabulous kid.

And!! I just got notified that our *biggest* customer just asked for a program eerily similar to the one I pitched to the VP the other day. How good do I look now????

Knocking on wood, I take my leave....
