A Bit of Randomness

Most people go through life dreading they'll have a traumatic experience. Freaks were born with their trauma. They've already passed their test in life. They're aristocrats. --Diane Arbus

"Solids"

(Why are they called solids?? Is it because the state of being between liquid and solid doesn't have a cute name??)

Dylan is now "eating" rice cereal, oatmeal, applesauce, sweet potatos and bananas. The last two, in particular, are well recieved. The cereals have to be mixed with something more palatable, apparantly, otherwise we get lots of cool Calvin faces; while these are funny as hell, we find it best not to torture/annoy our daughter too much simply for our own amusement (note - I did say "too much").

But last night was so dang funny. We started her on bananas (actually, I did as Eric can't stand the smell) and she apparantly likes them quite a bit. After the first two faces (meant to convey "what the hell is this crap??", I'm sure), they were found Acceptable. So much so that she tried to help.

*sigh*

Dylan's quite the helper. She helped grab the spoon and fling banana across me and the sofa. She helped stick the spoon far enough into her mouth that she started gagg but still wouldn't let go (and then did it again). She helped make "raspberries" (thanks Grandma E) into the bananas to spray them across my glasses. She helped rub

And all I could do was laugh cause she was having such a good time.

We so need a video camera!
