A Bit of Randomness

Most people go through life dreading they'll have a traumatic experience. Freaks were born with their trauma. They've already passed their test in life. They're aristocrats. --Diane Arbus

For Three Days Fire

"Explain your journal screen name and it's meaning"

DuffieMoon

Heh.

Once upon a time, waaaaaay back in the seventies, there was a cheesy ABC Afterschool Special.

I hear your gasps of amazement. Yet this was true. However, amongst all the stories of teen drug abuse, sexual awakenings and other sorts of childhood angst, a story of Inner Strength, Self-Confidence and Standing Up for Yourself arose.

Yes, this was The Amazing Cosmic Awareness of Duffy Moon (insert dramatic music here)

Yeah, it was cheesy as hell. The robotic voice the lead character used coupled with the tag line, "You can do it, Duffy Moon" somehow stuck in my head.

Obviously, I've changed the spelling. Duffie is so much more feminine, ya know. But at this point, I've used the screen name for soooooo long that I no longer remember why I chose it. I think it was just something different and at the time a funny inside joke between me and, um, me.
